Teams & Enterprise

Team Pricing

There are two business plans: Teams and Enterprise (Custom). On The X Subscription, Teams is priced per seat, and each seat is Premium ($30/user/mo), Super ($100/user/mo), or Ultra ($200/user/mo), the same prices and weekly usage as the matching individual plans.

Team plans provide additional features like:

  • Centralized team billing and administration, with usage stats also available via the Admin API
  • Team marketplace for internal rules, skills, and plugins
  • Agentic code reviews with Bugbot
  • Cloud agents and automations with shared team context
  • Usage analytics to understand team behavior
  • Team-wide privacy mode enforcement and custom Chat data retention
  • SAML/OIDC SSO

We recommend Teams for any customer that is happy self-serving. We recommend Enterprise for customers that need priority support, pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM, or advanced security controls. Contact sales to get started.

How pricing works

Teams pricing is based on paid seats and usage. Each paid seat includes weekly usage for Cursor models, and the team shares a prepaid balance for usage beyond that.

Seat tiers

Teams has three paid seat tiers and one free seat:

  • Premium: $30/user/mo with the Premium weekly usage pool
  • Super: $100/user/mo with the Super weekly usage pool, 3.75x Premium
  • Ultra: $200/user/mo with the Ultra weekly usage pool, 12.5x Premium
  • Free: $0/user/mo. Any Member or Admin can hold a Free seat. It has no team usage allowance; the member's usage draws from their own personal plan, or the small free allowance if they have none. Free seats are assigned through email invites or the Seat menu, not invite links

Seat tier is separate from role. Members and Admins can have any seat tier, and one team can mix tiers, for example three Premium seats and one Super seat. Plus isn't available for teams.

Included usage

Each paid seat has its own weekly pool for Cursor models (Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5, and Composer 2.5), shared across Cursor and Grok for that person. Seats don't share weekly pools with each other, and usage doesn't transfer between team members. The pool refreshes weekly.

Third-party models aren't included. They're billed at public list API prices plus the Cursor Token Rate, paid from the team's prepaid balance from the first request. This includes when Cursor Router (Balance or Intelligence) routes to a third-party model. Cost mode requests, Cursor models (including Grok and Composer), and the third-party models listed on Models & Pricing are exempt from the Cursor Token Rate.

Admins can see team usage under Usage at grok.com/dashboard and per-member spend through the Admin API.

Our Enterprise plan offers pooled usage shared between all users in a team. Get in touch with our team to learn more.

Additional usage and top-ups

Additional usage is any third-party model usage, plus any Cursor model usage after a seat's weekly pool runs out. It's paid from a prepaid balance the whole team shares.

  • Admins buy credit with one-time top-ups, or turn on Auto Top-up to refill the balance when it drops below a threshold
  • Third-party models are billed at public list API prices plus the Cursor Token Rate, except the models listed on Models & Pricing
  • Cursor models beyond the weekly pool are billed at their token rates with no Cursor Token Rate
  • Cost mode (classic Auto) bills as a Cursor-model request. With Cursor Router on, Balance and Intelligence bill at the routed model's list price, and a third-party route also incurs the Cursor Token Rate unless that model is exempt
  • No interruption in service or quality
  • Tracked per user in your admin dashboard (see spending data API)
  • Capped with a monthly additional usage limit

Additional usage stops when the prepaid balance is empty or the team's monthly additional usage limit is reached, whichever comes first. Manage the balance, Auto Top-up, and the limit under Additional usage credits at grok.com/dashboard/billing. Only admins can change these settings.

Cursor Token Rate

The Cursor Token Rate is $0.25 per million tokens and is charged on eligible third-party model requests. This covers:

  • Custom model execution (Tab, Apply, etc.)
  • Infrastructure and processing costs

The Cursor Token Rate applies to input tokens, output tokens, and cached tokens on eligible third-party model requests. This includes when Cursor Router (Balance or Intelligence) routes to a third-party model. This applies to BYOK as well. Cost mode requests are exempt, and so are Cursor models, including Grok and Composer. The third-party models listed on Models & Pricing are exempt too.

See Auto modes for Auto pricing.

Active seats

Cursor bills per active paid seat, not pre-allocated seats. Add, remove, upgrade, or downgrade users anytime and billing will adjust based on seat tier.

  • Adding a member mid-cycle creates a pro-rated charge for the rest of the billing period
  • Upgrading a seat applies right away and charges the pro-rated difference; downgrading applies at the end of the billing period
  • Removing a member frees their seat for the next person who joins. Reduce seats in billing to stop paying for it at the end of the period
  • Your renewal date stays the same

Spending controls

Admins set one monthly additional usage limit for the whole team (no limit or a fixed amount), plus a default monthly limit per member and per-member overrides from the Members page. When the team limit is reached, paid additional usage pauses until next month or until an admin raises it, even if prepaid credit remains.

Contact enterprise@cursor.com for volume discounts on larger teams.

Legacy Teams seats

Teams created before The X Subscription have two paid seat types, Standard ($40/user/mo) and Premium ($120/user/mo, with 5x the Standard allowance), plus a free Unpaid Admin seat. Each paid seat includes monthly usage across two pools, Cursor Models and Other Models, and keeps working with on-demand usage after included usage is consumed. On-demand usage is on by default, billed in arrears, and capped with a team-wide spend limit.

Existing teams can keep adding seats and changing seat types without switching. A team owner or admin can move the team to The X Subscription at cursor.com/unify/team. See Legacy Cursor plans for the full comparison and Team plans on The X Subscription for what happens when a team switches.

Model Pricing

All prices are per million tokens. Teams are charged at public list API prices plus the Cursor Token Rate for eligible third-party model requests, including when Cursor Router (Balance or Intelligence) routes to one. The third-party models listed on Models & Pricing are excluded.
